Sales Representative, Business Development, Sales Development Rep/SDR
Job Summary
DGI is currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative for our Wheeling, IL location. This individual will be responsible for effectively and tactically managing important business activity on a daily basis. The Inside Sales Representative will reach business targets through excellent telephone sales and communication skills. This individual will also develop his or her phone-based revenue generation through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers.
Individuals in this position will gain a strong understanding of our customers, products, processes and systems. When the appropriate skills have been developed and modeled, this role carries the opportunity to earn more accounts and/or move into an account manager or sales leadership position.
- Make outbound calls to customers via telephone and email for qualification, cross-selling, up-selling, and brand expansion purposes
- Establish decision makers for all manufacturing purchases
- Penetrate all targeted accounts and grow sales within client base
- Establish budget/potential for Tooling, Supplies and MRO
- Emphasize product/service features and benefits, effectively earning new quoting opportunities
- Create and deliver qualified opportunities to Account Managers where appropriate
- Work with Account Managers on shared accounts including the sharing of information and lead follow ups
- Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database and CRM, including select prospects
- Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues
- Establish decision makers and budget for capital purchases
- Exceptional listener with excellent time management
- Strong problem-solving and objection resolution skills, work ethic and a high level of integrity are also essential
- Ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
- Solid experience in opportunities qualification, pre-call planning, call control and account management
- Bachelor’s degree or three years related experience in inside sales or sales field
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Self-motivated and competitive with high energy and enthusiasm; teamwork focused
- Industry knowledge desired but not required

This position is remote; however, eligible candidates must reside within approximately one hour of a DoALL location in one of the following states:
