Government and Military Sales Representative

Join to apply for the Government and Military Sales Representative role at Duro‑Last.

Join the Duro‑Last team, a brand of Amrize Building Envelope and the world’s largest manufacturer of custom‑fabricated commercial roofing solutions. We’re seeking a Government and Military Sales Representative who is ready to be part of an innovative, people‑first brand shaping the future of the roofing industry.

The Government & Military Sales Representative is responsible for driving demand and securing opportunities for our commercial roofing systems within federal, state, and military markets. The role focuses on building strong relationships with procurement officers, contracting officers, facility managers, public works departments, military engineering units, and other public‑sector decision‑makers. The representative will identify upcoming government and Department of Defense (DoD) projects, influence specifications and material selections, and position our products for contract awards.

This role collaborates closely with territory sales representatives, internal engineering teams, and roofing contractors to convert government and military opportunities into sales. This is a home office position, with a salary plus commission compensation structure. The employee can live in the western United States, ideally near a metropolitan and/or major military market.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Identify, prioritize, and pursue opportunities across federal, state, and military procurement channels, with a focus on military.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contracting officers, procurement officials, facility managers, public works leaders, Corps of Engineers personnel, and base engineers.
  • Monitor procurement platforms (SAM.gov, DIBBS, GSA eBuy, state/local portals) and anticipate upcoming government and military roofing projects.
  • Understand and navigate government and military contracting vehicles (MACCs, MATOCs, JOCs, IDIQs, BPAs, GSA schedules, DoD‑specific acquisition processes).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive specifications by completing substitute requests, submittals, and pushing your own performance‑based Duro‑Last specifications.
  • Deliver capability briefings, technical presentations, and product demonstrations to government and military audiences.
  • Support contractors bidding on government and military projects by providing technical information and submittal support.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of sales activity, opportunity pipelines, and contract performance using CRM tools.
  • Stay current on FAR/DFARS regulations, DoD procurement policies, and public‑sector roofing standards.
  • Participate in government and military trade shows, procurement fairs, industry associations, and base‑level events to expand influence and visibility.
What We Are Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing, building envelope systems, construction materials, government sales, and/or military contracting.
  • Able to travel 50% around the western United States and beyond.
  • Experience with government or military procurement processes, bid portals, and contracting structures strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Highly self‑motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and CRM systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, public administration, engineering, or related field preferred.
Performance Metrics
  • Number and dollar value of government and military opportunities developed and secured.
  • Awarded contracts and overall growth within government and military sectors.

Engagement activity, including presentations, agency meetings, proposal submissions, and project follow‑ups.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Compensation
  • Retirement Savings
  • Medical, Dental, Disability and Life Insurance Coverage
  • Holistic Health & Well‑Being Programs
  • Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for Health and Dependent Care
  • Vision and other Voluntary Benefits and Discounts
  • Paid Time Off and Holidays
  • Paid Parental Leave (Maternity and Paternity)
  • Educational Assistance Program
