ResponsibilitiesAs a Regional Sales Manager
, you will develop medical stop loss/captive program opportunities in the southern part of the Central Region (TX, OK, AR, LA). You will identify target markets to hit sales goals, direct distribution of group captive programs by building a network of preferred producers, create new distribution outlets, and facilitate marketing efforts to utilize alternative distribution methods.
We count on you to:
- Develop and manage distribution within the assigned region (southern part of the Central Region - TX, OK, AR, LA)
- Identify sources, industries, organizations, and business alliances that present opportunities for new program development within the region
- Generate and facilitate a high monthly volume of pre-qualified submissions for an open portfolio of captive programs
- Support growth initiatives of open established programs
- Call on and develop relationships with agencies and sources within the region
- Establish and maintain relationships with key contacts at existing and assigned programs
- Leverage Berkley ESL Sales team relationships, established sources, and referrals to increase new program pipeline and existing program growth
- Seek out and increase expertise in current and emerging risk management solutions
- Provide regular feedback to Sales Management on Pipeline, including successes and failures in the quote process
- Expand product education and develop cross-selling opportunities within the territory

- 10+ years sales experience, with emphasis on medical stop loss insurance (will train in captive)
- Knowledge of principles and methods for selling group insurance products, including marketing strategy and sales presentations
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with internal and external customers
- Ability to be productive independently, yet work in a team environment
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
- College Degree
- Strong knowledge of available products
- Creativity and problem-solving skills

The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full-time regular employees including:
- Pay range - base salary and commission: $150,000 to $500,000
- This position is commission driven

The actual salary will be determined by factors including role scope, location, candidate skills and experience.
