Who You Are

We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Account Executive to join our Sales team as we continue to expand in the cybersecurity space. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, but candidates must be located in the assigned territory—Tri‑State Area (New York City, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, ideally within an hour from New York City). As an Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue through new customer acquisition and expanding existing accounts.

You will leverage our comprehensive portfolio, including managed detection and response services, professional services, and risk & compliance solutions, to deliver exceptional value to clients.

The ideal candidate is driven, resourceful, and eager to exceed goals! You will possess a strong combination of industry knowledge, experience, and exceptional relationship‑building skills; with the ability to build and maintain relationships across multiple verticals. You will manage your territory with autonomy while collaborating closely with internal teams in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Serve as the client and prospect contact as a cybersecurity advisor for areas including endpoint, network, security operations, vulnerability management, SIEM, incident response, security assessments and testing, threat intelligence, and more.
  • Drive new business sales while managing your sales process from prospecting to close.
  • Regularly meet or exceed your quota while maintaining accurate and timely customer, pipeline, and forecast data.
  • Have experience managing and building Reseller and Partner relationships to drive business.
  • Deliver dynamic and engaging presentations and product demonstrations via MS Teams and in person.
  • Execute the full sales process by building pipeline through identifying and qualifying opportunities within your territory, and negotiating pricing and contractual terms to close sales as required.
  • Ensure excellent service and support to prospects and customers by creating long‑term business relationships.
  • Build, maintain, and develop knowledge to become an expert on Critical Start’s solutions.
  • Some travel required to support marketing activities, events, and customer meetings around the state(s).
  • Utilize Salesforce to track all pertinent information related to the opportunity and account, and effectively manage your territory.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of related sales experience.
