The Merchandise Assistant supports Studs’ merchandising and planning function by owning the accuracy, execution, and day-to-day flow of product data, samples, and purchase activity across retail and e-commerce channels. This role is foundational to ensuring that product launches, replenishment, testing, and in-store execution are operationally sound, well-documented, and delivered on time.

This is a highly collaborative, detail-driven role that partners closely with Merchandising & Planning, Product Marketing, Creative, Retail Operations, and external vendors. Success in this role requires strong systems thinking, disciplined follow-through, and a genuine interest in product and retail execution.

Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000

Key Responsibilities
  • Support end-to-end SKU setup and maintenance across systems, including Shopify, ensuring product information, attributes, and status are accurate and current.
  • Maintain line sheets and product documentation, keeping updates organized and version-controlled.
  • Partner with Merchandising and Planning to support product launches, updates, and retirements through accurate system execution.
Purchase Orders, Inventory & Testing Support
  • Assist with purchase order creation under the direction of the Merchandising and Planning team.
  • Track on-order inventory and delivery timelines, flagging issues or delays as they arise.
  • Coordinate product testing needs and ensure testing and audit documentation is properly organized and accessible.
Sample Management, Reporting & Cross-Functional Support
  • Own day-to-day management of development and production samples, including tracking, organization, and physical storage.
  • Maintain samples for marketing, content creation, and photoshoots, and support weekly sample reviews with preparation and follow-ups.
  • Support planogram maintenance and assist with communication of product updates to retail teams.
  • Pull and distribute weekly sales reports and assist with merchandising presentations and team materials.
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support for vendor meetings and merchandising workflows as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, retail merchandising, fashion merchandising, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in retail, merchandising, planning, or an operational support role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; able to manage multiple recurring tasks reliably.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience using Google Workspace;
    Excel proficiency a plus. Shopify experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take feedback with a genuine interest in product and retail operations.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
