Job description excerpt:
Select and gather products for customers' on-line orders with attention to freshness and quality; assemble orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at store for pick up. Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages online shopping and reflects the company values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

• Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper selects and gathers products for customers’ on-line orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes the selection process for on-line orders.
• Assemble on-line orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars at pick up.
• Scan and bag orders on the go while following bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers’ orders at pick-up.
• Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers’ orders from Order Selector; store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Follow directions and read notes to ensure order accuracy and item quality.
• Communicate with customers via portable phone in a professional and timely manner.
• Load orders into customers’ cars and ensure order accuracy.
• Provide a positive customer service experience to encourage return to on-line shopping.
• Process orders through the POS system; determine substitutions for out-of-stock items per policy.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment; report discrepancies and equipment issues to supervision.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members; meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments; manage conflicts professionally; follow directions and escalate issues as needed.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults; perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to read shelf tags
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier
