The role of the Senior Buying Assistant is to assist the DTC Buying & Merchandising team with reporting and essential buying administrative support.
The candidate must be pro-active, with a strong commercial awareness and great organisational skills.
The ideal candidate will be a creative, enthusiastic, self‑motivated individual with a positive approach to their work. This role will be a crucial part of a small team at an exciting part of our growth journey.
MainDuties & Responsibilities
- Providing administrative support to the DTC Buying team, including raising orders accurately in a timely manner on SAP in order to hit strict deadlines and meet key intake dates.
- Responsible alongside Assistant Buyer that all buys are listed correctly, and any changes are clearly communicated and updated accurately.
- Providing detailed ad-hoc analysis when required on specific products/product groups
- Analysing Best & Worst sellers with trade actions to drive performance and highlight any risks / opportunities on a weekly basis
- Responsible for providing updates on the critical path, working closely with product / and the wider DTC team.
- Be the first point of contact on the department for launch information, product details, samples, data entry and purchase order information.
- Liaising with Marketing and Web teams to confirm product launches are communicated and executed efficiently from start to end.
- Good eye for product, providing inspiration packs regularly for the department and wider business
- Strong commercial awareness, and knowledge of our consumer
- Good knowledge of current brands and trends (sporting knowledge desirable)
- Good sample management skills ensuring products are well organised and easily accessible
You must be able to demonstrate acquired skills and measurable success in each of the following areas:

- Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of the market trends
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Analytical with attention to data accuracy
- Must be proactive, with a positive attitude
- Previous experience working as a Buying Assistant (or equivalent) within a retail environment - essential
- Advanced Excel skills - desirable
- Knowledge of SAP - desirable
Please note this is a full-time role based in our Milton Keynes office with 1 day work from home.
