This role is a remote position with an ideal base location in New York City or the surrounding boroughs.

WhatThe Role Is
The Market Sales Associate (Off-Premise) will work directly with our distributor partner, Empire Merchants, to implement strategic brand initiatives in the retail/off-premise channel across the New York City metro area. The associate will support brand growth by executing retail tastings, managing seasonal programs, merchandising shelves, and engaging consumers at the point of purchase.
Position OverviewThis role focuses on driving brand distribution and unlocking volume opportunities through retail-focused initiatives. The ideal candidate is a high-energy, self-motivated sales professional with strong organizational skills and a passion for connecting consumers with great products. This role requires regular in-field activity and consistent execution of programming, training, and merchandising support across priority accounts.
How You Will Spend Your Time- Manage and execute CNI sales objectives, planning, and priorities with the distributor team, and hold them accountable for results
- Build strong relationships with key retail accounts and execute retail programming
- Conduct consumer tastings to drive trial and awareness in targeted stores
- Merchandise retail shelves and floor displays, ensuring visibility and brand standards are met
- Execute key seasonal programs and initiatives tied to major holidays and promotional periods
- Provide distributor reps with tools and knowledge to support execution in the field
- Analyze performance and submit monthly reports to the Director of Sales, US East
- Identify opportunities for distribution and volume growth, aligning with overall market strategy
- Communicate and collaborate with internal teams and Brand/Marketing Managers
- Proactively request and deploy POS materials to elevate in-store presence (shelf talkers, case cards, displays, etc.)
- Actively participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and brand education workshops
- Experience in wine & spirits industry preferred, with a focus in retail/off-premise sales
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams
- Familiarity with distributor systems and account-level execution
- Professionalism, accountability, and a self-starter mentality
- Availability for evening or weekend tastings/events as needed
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office preferred
- Emphasis in Management and/or Marketing
- Advanced computer proficiency— Vermont Information Processing (iDIG/KARMA) or similar CRM
This position requires the ability to perform a range of physical activities. The candidate must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently. The role involves standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods. The candidate should have good manual dexterity and the ability to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.

Salary Range: $75,000 to $90,000 depending on experience
