Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk

Job Description

Select and gather products for customers' online orders with focus on freshness and quality. Assemble orders, process coupons and payment, deliver and load orders to cars for pick‑up. Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages repeat online shopping. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

• Act as an Online Grocery Pick‑Up Clerk, selecting and gathering products efficiently.
• Initiate and complete selection for online orders.
• Assemble orders, process coupons and payment, and load orders into customers' vehicles.
• Scan and bag orders on the go, following bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at pick‑up.
• Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to all applicable laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Read and follow directions given in the note section.
• Ensure quality and freshness of all items chosen.
• Communicate with customers via a portable phone and respond promptly.
• Retrieve each customer's order from staging locations and load correctly.
• Process orders through the POS system.
• Determine appropriate substitutions when out‑of‑stock.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies.
• Inspect equipment and report needed repairs.
• Perform required opening and closing procedures.
• Help train new e‑Commerce team members.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Work cooperatively in a high‑paced environment.
• Manage conflict in a cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.

• Ability to work without supervision.
• Ability to read shelf tags.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Experience as a personal shopper, in a production or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier.
