Job DescriptionThe Accounting Analyst is responsible for performing regular updates to the People Soft Asset Management System, including reconciliation and monthly closing of the system.
Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred) and/or appropriate combination of education and experience is required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products
- Excellent customer service skills, including email and phone skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail and time‑sensitive deadlines
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Maintains confidentiality and diverse work environment
- Enthusiastic team player; positive approach to work and the University
- Perform monthly closing and reconciliation of asset management system to the general ledger.
- Identify potential equipment assets from expenditure records.
- Coordinate the annual inventory of major equipment assets.
- Provide regular reports from the asset management system.
