Location:

North Vancouver, BC - This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office, and is open to hybrid remote work.

Work Arrangement:

Flexible, between in-office and home.

Pay Range:

$44,700 – $55,100 annualized; pay is dependent on year of study and related experience.

Duration:

Four (4) months, May 4, 2026 – August 21, 2026.

Hours Per Week:

40 hours per week, M-F.

Your Co-Op Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Retail Design Co-Op Student, you will play a key role in supporting the Retail Design team with our locations across North America. This role requires a combination of design knowledge, technical skills, and the ability to work with various key stakeholders, including construction, external architects, contractors, and vendors. In this position, you will gain a solid understanding of retail design and the processes required.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Retail Design team is a group of creative and innovative thinkers. We are passionate about bringing the Brand to life in physical space and are constantly searching for a better way to evolve our retail experience. We work closely with Brand Creative, Visual Merchandising and Retail Operations teams to design and build our stores and to create a premium retail experience for our guests.

If

you were a Retail Design Co-op Student now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
  • Partnering with our Retail Designers to gain understanding of our project processes (reviewing drawings, attending project meetings, presentation documentation).
  • Maintaining, creating, and supporting the management of our internal AutoCAD and Sketch Up library and blocks.
  • Coordinating and communicating with our existing and/or new vendors (ex. samples, products, materials, and technologies).
  • Creating store test-fits/floor plans for our site review and approval meetings.
Here are some of the things you will learn by the end of your Co-Op placement:
  • You will have a strong understanding of retail design and gain insight into the project process required to plan and execute our stores.
  • You will have exposure to our ongoing special projects, existing store minor-works, and vendor management.
Are you our next Legal Co-op Student?
  • You are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate studies in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from an accredited university or college.
  • You are highly proficient in CAD drafting using AutoCAD.
  • You are proficient in Sketch Up.
  • You are a strong team player with ability to work independently with minimum supervision and a collaborative environment.
  • You are driven to problem solve and open to learn.
  • You have excellent verbal and visual communication skills.
  • You have excellent ability to create, understand and translate three-dimensional concepts into drawings and design details.
  • You are detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions.
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration.
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement.
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right.

$44,700 - $55,100 a year
