Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk

Select and gather products for customers' on-line orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers' on-line orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at store for pick up. Provide a positive customer service experience that makes customers want to return to on-line shopping. Essential Job Functions:

• Selecting and gathering products for customers' on-line orders with attention to freshness and quality.
• Initiating and completing selection process for customers' on-line orders.
• Assembling customers' on-line orders, processing coupons and payment, and delivering and loading orders to customer vehicles.
• Scanning and bagging orders on the go while following all bagging standards.
• Communicating any substitutions or exceptions to customer's order at time of pick-up.
• Meeting or exceeding customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhering to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receiving customers' orders from Order Selector according to guidelines, storing products in optimal temperature zones.
• Reading and following directions given in the note section.
• Ensuring quality and freshness of all items chosen.
• Communicating with customers via a portable phone and responding to calls professionally and timely.
• Retrieving each customer's order from all staging locations, ensuring order accuracy, and loading the order into customers' cars.
• Processing the orders through the point of sale (POS) system.
• Following policies and procedures to determine appropriate substitutions in the event of an out-of-stock.
• Maintaining organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Reporting pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies and invalid temperature types to the store e-Commerce supervisor.
• Inspecting equipment and notifying the store Pick-Up supervisor or other store management of items in need of repair.
• Performing required opening and closing procedures.
• Assisting in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meeting or exceeding productivity standards.
• Working cooperatively in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Managing conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
• Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Following directions and seeking assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
• Providing support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to read shelf tags
• Basic math skills (i.e., counting, addition, and subtraction)

Experience:

• Any experience as a personal shopper or in a production‑oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
