Role OverviewJoin the Resolution Service Team within Birmingham City Council’s Housing Solutions & Support Service as a Resolution Champion. You’ll provide expert advice, resolve enquiries, and investigate matters to a resolution.
Working Hours & PlacementWorking 36.5 hours per week on a hybrid basis.
Salary and GradingGrade B – £28,598 – £34,434. Consultation grade – subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review. Birmingham City Council is a Living Wage Employer – all roles are paid as such when below the Living Wage rate.
Job Responsibilities- Provide expert advice and resolve enquiries for the Housing Solutions & Support Service.
- Support service delivery, complaints, members’ enquiries, LGSCO, legal matters, subject access and freedom of information requests.
- Hold a caseload of your own, meeting strict deadlines and delivering majority of work by written responses that provide solutions or prevent escalation.
- Communicate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Customer focused, proactive, analytical thinking and logical reasoning.
- Problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail and data‑driven decision making.
- Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.
- Experience of homelessness, temporary accommodation, housing allocations and relevant legislation and guidance (advantage).
