Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper

Base pay range: $16.91/hr – $24.15/hr

• Select and gather products for customers’ online orders efficiently with attention to freshness and quality.
• Assemble customers’ online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive for pick up.
• Maintain a positive customer service experience that encourages repeat online shopping.
• Scan and bag orders on the go while following all bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at pick‑up.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers’ orders from the Order Selector, store products in optimal temperature zones, and read and follow the directions in the note section.
• Ensure quality and freshness of all items chosen.
• Communicate with customers via a portable phone, responding to calls professionally and timely.
• Retrieve each customer’s order from all staging locations, ensure order accuracy, and load orders into customers’ cars.
• Process orders through the point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
• Determine appropriate substitutions in the event of an out‑of‑stock and follow policies and procedures.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies and invalid temperature types to the store e‑Commerce supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify the store Pick‑Up supervisor or other management of items in need of repair.
• Perform required opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in training new e‑Commerce team members.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.

• Ability to work without supervision.
• Ability to read shelf tags.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a high‑paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Experience as a personal shopper, in a production‑oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier.
