Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk

Job Description

Select and gather products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner while ensuring freshness and quality. Assemble orders, process coupons and payments, deliver and load orders onto cars when customers arrive for pickup, and provide a positive customer‑service experience that encourages repeat online shopping. • In‑store grocery shopper selects and gathers products for online orders, following bagging and quality standards.
• Initiates and completes the selection process, loads orders into customers’ vehicles, and processes transactions via the POS system.
• Communicates substitutions or exceptions to customers at pickup and verifies order accuracy.
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment, and reports discrepancies to the e‑Commerce supervisor.
• Performs opening and closing procedures, and assists in training new team members.
• Adheres to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Engages customers via a portable phone, responding professionally and timely to calls.
• Meets or exceeds productivity, quality, and customer‑service expectations.
• Works cooperatively in a high‑paced, sometimes stressful environment and resolves conflicts constructively.
• Provides support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Can work with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to work independently without supervision.
• Ability to read shelf tags and perform basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Experience as a personal shopper, in a production or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier.
