Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk

Overview

Select and gather products for customers' on-line orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers' on-line orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at store for pick up. Provide a positive customer service experience that makes customers want to return to on-line shopping. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

As part of the e-Commerce team, you will work to meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, freshness, and cleanliness, while adhering to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.

• Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper: select and gather products for customers' on-line orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality.
• Initiate and complete the selection process for customers' on-line orders.
• Assemble on-line orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at store for pick up.
• Scan and bag orders on the go while following bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at time of pick-up.
• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Follow policies and procedures to determine appropriate substitutions for out-of-stock items.
• Receive customers' orders and store products in optimal temperature zones; ensure order accuracy and load into customers' cars.
• Provide a positive customer service experience to encourage repeat on-line shopping.
• Process orders through the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies and invalid temperature types to the e-Commerce supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of items in need of repair.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members and meet/exceed productivity standards.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.
• Follow directions and seek assistance as needed to resolve customer and business issues.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to read shelf tags
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Excellent oral/written communication skills

Desired Previous Experience:

• Experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
