Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk role at Kroger Mountain View Foods
—select and gather products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers' online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at store for pick up. Provide a positive customer service experience that makes customers want to return to online shopping. • Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper is responsible for selecting and gathering products for customers' online orders with attention to freshness and quality.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes the selection process for customers' online orders.
• Online Grocery Pick-Up team assembles online orders, processes coupons and payment, and delivers and loads orders to customers' cars for pick up.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper scans and bags orders while following bagging standards.
• E-Commerce team, including Online Grocery Pick-Up associates, communicates substitutions or exceptions to the customer’s order at pick-up.
• Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers' orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Read and follow directions provided in note sections.
• Ensure quality and freshness of all items chosen.
• Communicate with customers via portable phone and respond to calls in a professional and timely manner.
• Retrieve each customer's order from staging locations, verify order accuracy, and load the order into customers' cars.
• Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages customers to shop online again.
• Process orders through the point of sale (POS) system.
• Follow policies to determine appropriate substitutions when an item is out of stock.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item-location discrepancies and temperature issues to the store e-Commerce supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify store management of items in need of repair.
• Perform required opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards and work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance as needed to resolve issues.
• Provide support and assistance when interacting with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to read shelf tags
• Basic math skills (i.e., counting, addition, and subtraction)
• Excellent oral/written communication skills

• Any experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
