Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk

Overview

Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper selects and gathers products for customers  on-line orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Responsible for assembling orders, processing coupons and payment, and delivering and loading orders to customers  cars when they arrive for pick up. Provides a positive customer service experience and demonstrates the company s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

• Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper: select and gather products for customers  on-line orders with emphasis on freshness and quality.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper: initiate and complete the selection process for customers  on-line orders.
• Assemble on-line orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars at pick up.
• Scan and bag orders on the go while following bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers  orders at pick-up.
• Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customers  orders from Order Selector; store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Read and follow directions in the note section; ensure quality and freshness of all items.
• Communicate with customers via portable phone and respond in a professional and timely manner.
• Retrieve each customer s order from staging locations and ensure order accuracy; load order into customers  cars.
• Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages repeat on-line shopping.
• Process orders through the point of sale (POS) system.
• Follow policies and procedures to determine substitutions when an item is out of stock.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, and item location discrepancies and temperature issues to the store e-Commerce supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of items in need of repair.
• Perform required opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards; work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Minimum Position Qualifications:
  
  able to work without supervision; able to read shelf tags; basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction); excellent oral/written communication skills.

  Experience:
  
  experience as a personal shopper or in a production oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier.
