Job description focuses on selecting and gathering products for customers' online orders, ensuring freshness and quality, processing payments, and assisting with pickup at the store. Responsibilities
  • Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper selects and gathers products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality.
  • In-Store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes the selection process for online orders.
  • Assemble online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive for pickup.
  • Scan and bag orders while following bagging standards.
  • Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers’ orders at pickup.
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
  • Receive customers' orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
  • Read and follow directions in note sections; ensure quality and freshness of all items.
  • Communicate with customers via portable devices in a professional and timely manner.
  • Retrieve customer orders from staging locations, ensure order accuracy, and load orders into customers’ cars.
  • Provide a positive customer service experience to encourage online shopping.
  • Process orders through the POS system and determine appropriate substitutions for out-of-stock items.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
  • Report pricing, scanning, item location discrepancies, and invalid temperature types to the e-Commerce supervisor.
  • Inspect equipment and notify management of items in need of repair.
  • Perform required opening and closing procedures and assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
  • Meet or exceed productivity standards and work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Handle conflicts professionally and act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues; provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
  • Must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications Minimum Position Qualifications
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Ability to read shelf tags
  • Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
Desired Previous Experience
  • Experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier
