Job Description

Select and gather products for customers' online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality. Assemble customers' online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive at the store for pick up. Provide a positive customer service experience that makes customers want to return to online shopping. Demonstrate the company s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper: select and gather products for customers  online orders with emphasis on freshness and quality.
• In-Store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes the selection process for customers  online orders.
• Assemble online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars at pick-up.
• Scan and bag orders while following bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers  orders at pick-up.
• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive customer orders from Order Selector and store products in optimal temperature zones.
• Follow directions and read notes in order instructions; ensure quality and freshness of all items.
• Communicate with customers via portable phone in a professional and timely manner.
• Retrieve customer orders from staging locations, verify order accuracy, and load orders into customers  cars.
• Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages repeat online shopping.
• Process orders through the POS system and determine substitutions for out-of-stock items when needed.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment.
• Report pricing, scanning, item location discrepancies and temperature concerns to the e-Commerce supervisor; inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
• Perform required opening and closing procedures; assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet/exceed productivity standards and work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment; manage conflicts professionally.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve customer and business issues; uphold honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Ability to work without supervision
• Ability to read shelf tags
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired Previous

Experience:

• Experience as a personal shopper or in a production/warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or experience as a cashier
