Remote Hotel Dishwasher - Qavartarvik Customer Lodge x​/Bet

Job Overview

The Dishwasher position performs a variety of cleaning, stocking, dishwashing, and minor food preparation duties in a commercial kitchen within a restaurant setting. This position will support the Qavartarvik Customer Lodge in Bethel, AK.

This is a rotational position with a 4-weeks on & 4-weeks off schedule. Housing and three square meals per day are provided. The point of hire origins are Anchorage, AK and the YKHC Service Area.

• Disposes of trash in assigned receptacles
• Cleans various carts and trash receptacles
• Stocks storage areas with incoming products
• Washes objects by hand or with cleaning equipment
• Cleans dishes, utensils, pots, pans and places them in assigned storage areas in an organized and orderly manner
• Cleans, sweeps, wipes down all general dining, kitchen, or storage areas and equipment as well as all floors
• Assists with various periodic and scheduled cleaning projects
• May serve on the line to support food service production
• May assist manager with inventory counting
• Keeps dish area clean at all times
• Helps maintain clean dining room, tables, and chairs
• Follows dress code according to department
• Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success may also be assigned

• The ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, callouts, etc
• Food Handler card, Alaska Food Workers card, or Serv Safe certification within 30 days of employment
• Contract requires candidate to get a flu shot pre-hire and annually thereafter
• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Some prior experience or training demonstrating knowledge of cleaning equipment or processes or a suitability for and interest in this type of work preferred
