Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Germany
The Space Lead is seeking a remote intern to support market research focused on In-Space Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing (ISAM). This is a practical role for someone who likes turning messy, fragmented information into clear insight that is useful to founders, operators, and decision-makers.
Start dateASAP
Duration1 to 3 months (flexible)
LocationRemote
Time commitmentPart-time or full-time (flexible)
CompensationCompetitive, market-aligned compensation, commensurate with experience and scope. We will provide references with a clear portfolio of published work and research outputs you can show in future applications.
What you will work on- Build a structured view of the ISAM landscape: key players, capabilities, facilities, missions, and timelines.
- Track signals across funding, contracts, partnerships, and technology milestones.
- Produce short, decision‑ready research outputs: 1-page briefs, tables, weekly snapshots, and “what changed” updates.
- Maintain research trackers (companies, programmes, TRL, procurement routes, geography, investors).
- Support targeted outreach prep with background notes and well‑researched target lists.
- How the ISAM market is forming in real time, and what real demand looks like.
- How to research like an analyst: sources, triangulation, and signal‑to‑noise judgement.
- How to communicate clearly for busy readers (short formats, crisp conclusions).
- How space industry procurement and partnerships actually get done (civil and defence‑adjacent).
- Clean, well‑sourced research with links and fast context.
- Trackers that stay consistent and easy to reuse.
- Concise writing that gets to the point without losing accuracy.
- Strong judgement on what matters and what is noise.
- Strong online research skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable writing in short formats: bullets, tables, brief summaries.
- Able to work independently, hit deadlines, and ask smart questions early.
- Curious about space industry and ISAM.
- Familiarity with ESA/NASA/UKSA programmes, primes and supply chains, or venture landscape.
- Comfort with Notion/Airtable, spreadsheets, and light data cleaning.
Use whatever you work fastest in. Most work will be in docs/spreadsheets plus a simple tracker workflow.
