Job Title:
Associate Scientist
This role requires an Associate Scientist to perform laboratory experiments, organize and analyze data, and generate reliable results with minimal supervision. The position supports studies conducted in compliance with established protocols, guidelines, and applicable regulations. This is a hybrid role primarily based on-site, with approximately two work‑from‑home days per month for data processing and report writing.
Responsibilities- Plan, conduct, monitor, analyze, and document laboratory experiments with limited supervision.
- Follow established experimental designs and protocols to generate reproducible and reliable results.
- Transfer experimental methods from scientific literature into the laboratory and modify methods as necessary.
- Develop and implement new laboratory protocols with moderate review.
- Perform liquid chromatography (LC) and capillary electrophoresis (CE) methods.
- Perform plate‑based impurities testing.
- Prepare buffers and perform routine laboratory tasks, including daily balance and pH meter verification.
- Troubleshoot equipment and experimental issues.
- Document experimental results accurately in an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN).
- Verify and organize data to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance.
- Develop systems and practices to ensure the generation of high‑quality data.
- Contribute to internal and external reports, presentations, regulatory documents, invention disclosures, and patents.
- Communicate experimental data and interpretations effectively to the work group.
- Engage coworkers in scientific discussions.
- Coordinate and organize resources required to complete assigned tasks.
- Support and perform in‑house sample management.
- Participate in department‑wide support efforts, including safety initiatives, recruiting, and committee participation.
- Train staff and/or provide supervision to others as needed.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, knowing when to seek guidance and when to make independent decisions.
- Experience with chromatography, including the use of Empower software and plate‑based impurities testing.
- Strong documentation skills with a focus on compliance and data integrity.
- Flexibility and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced laboratory environment.
- Hands‑on experience with liquid chromatography (LC) techniques, including familiarity with methods such as size exclusion, anion exchange, and affinity chromatography.
- Working knowledge of capillary electrophoresis (CE), including method purpose and data interpretation.
- Proficiency with Empower chromatography data systems for data acquisition, analysis, and documentation.
- Direct experience performing plate‑based impurities testing in a regulated laboratory environment.
- Strong documentation and data integrity skills, with a demonstrated focus on compliance (GxP or similar regulated settings).
- Willingness to perform routine laboratory operations, including buffer preparation, balance verification, and pH meter calibration.
- Ability to multitask effectively and adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced lab environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with in‑house sample management.
- Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or Analytical Chemistry.
- Experience working in a biopharmaceutical environment.
The work schedule is standard business hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The work environment is primarily lab‑based, with limited remote work opportunities (approximately two days per month).

Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 – $30.00 /hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
