Principal Biostatistician - Biomarker (EMEA Remote)

- Collaborates with representatives from other functions to plan, execute and analyze all biomarker aspects (including genomics) of clinical or biomarker studies; serves as project biomarker statistician under guidance of an experienced statistician.
- Develops the Biomarker Evaluation Plan for the study, ensuring consistency within and between projects.
- Provides statistical input in clinical development discussions and utilizes AI and ML approaches.
- Facilitates organization and coordination of statistical activities related to biomarker research and development for specific studies and projects.
- Conducts and designs advanced data analysis for genomics and biomarker statistics, including statistical programming and complex analysis algorithms.
- Handles RNA, Olink, and other biomarker data.
- Assumes responsibility for the production and accuracy of the Biomarker Evaluation Report and interpretation of results.
- Works independently on routine and complex statistical questions, modeling, and tasks.
- Develops and implements standard processes for the analysis of routine biomarker assessments.
- PhD or MSc in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
- Experience with AI and ML approaches.
- Previous experience independently leading biomarker studies (mandatory).
- Preferred:
Previous clinical trial experience and industry experience. - Strong knowledge of biomarker evaluation, especially in immunology and infections, type I diabetes, and relevant biology.
- Good knowledge of statistical programming languages such as R (Bioconductor and other packages for genetic data) and Python.
- Experience in analysis of high-dimensional data.
