Research Associate​/Postdoc in Data Science

Position: The candidate will work with Prof. Mira ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) in a dynamic research team within a multidisciplinary and international scientific environment. Information about ongoing projects is available upon request. The candidate is expected to present papers at scientific conferences and publish in high-ranking journals.

Candidate profile: Ideal candidates should satisfy the following requirements:

• PhD in Statistics or a related field
• Programming knowledge in Python and/or R
• Fluent in English;
  Italian is a plus but not required

Contract terms: The workplace is USI Università della Svizzera italiana, located in Lugano. Availability to travel within Switzerland and abroad for collaboration and research is beneficial. The starting date is as soon as possible; applications received before 15 July 2024 will be prioritized, but the position remains open until a suitable candidate is found. Part-time and remote work options can be discussed.

The salary is CHF 80,000 per year for full-time employment, in line with Swiss National Science Foundation standards.
