Spotify - Real Estate Analyst

Overview

We are looking for a Real Estate Analyst to join our growing Global Workplace Services team. The Global Workplace Services (GWS) team focuses on the global expansion and support of our rapidly growing business. We make Spotify a great place to work by providing services and spaces that bring Spotify’s culture and values to life. In this role, you will be an integral part of our Global Real Estate team and will drive the administrative and analytic components of our Real Estate process, from maintaining our internal lease tracking system to assisting in forecasting analysis for our portfolio.

You will help run strategic planning analytics in coordination with Real Estate Managers and additional internal partners, with further development opportunities available for the right candidate. Our existing portfolio consists of workplace and production facilities, i.e. Music and podcast studios. You will have many partners, such as Business Leads, Projects Managers, Facility Managers, IT, Legal, Finance and external suppliers.

• Update and maintain lease tracking databases (inclusive of review/abstraction of key lease terms and financial impact)
• Collaborate closely with internal partners on any lease related inquiries
• Coordinate, remit and supervise all payments associated with lease obligations including rent, security deposits, additional rent escalations etc.
• Monitor lease deadlines and advise team members of key dates
• Assist in completion of quarterly forecasting with internal teams
• Aggregate and analyze data from various teams to assist with strategic planning of Real Estate portfolio
• Participate in the development of our Real Estate strategy and contribute to its execution
• Help drive continuous development in standard operating procedures to streamline and optimize processes across the portfolio

• You have at least 3+ years of experience as a real estate analyst or relevant lease administration experience (global scope a plus)
• Deep understanding of key lease provisions and ability to deftly read and interpret lease language
• Very detail oriented with proven track record of proficiency with analyzing data to provide strategic insights
• General understanding of budget preparation, financial analysis, and construction and project management
• Ability to establish strong working relationships with both internal and external partners
• Fluent in spoken and written English together with strong communication skills
• Accustomed to working in a high paced international environment where change is the only constant
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite of applications
