The Quality Assurance Specialist owns end-to-end quality (manual and automated), security‑minded testing, and automated front‑end tests in CI/CD. This person works with the Application Development teams to define and run a clear QA process and integrate automated checks into the SDLC pipeline.

• Defining, documenting, and maintaining QA processes (test planning, cases, environments, sign‑off).
• Creating and maintaining test plans and cases from requirements/user stories; tracking coverage and gaps.
• Executing functional, regression, and exploratory testing; logging defects with clear steps and impact.
• Participating in release readiness (go/no‑go) and post‑release verification.
• Helping refine acceptance criteria and definition of done with product and engineering.

• Designing and executing security‑focused test scenarios (auth, authorization, input validation, sensitive data handling).
• Supporting security reviews and compliance (e.g., PCI/SOC2) by testing controls and documenting results.
• Identifying and reporting security‑related defects; collaborating with Application Development teams on remediation.
• Staying current on common web vulnerabilities (OWASP, etc.) and basic secure coding practices.

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated front‑end tests (e.g., E2E, component, visual) in the chosen stack.
• Integrating automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline; owning stability, flakiness, and run times.
• Using version control, branching, and code review practices for testing code.
• Balancing automation coverage with manual testing where automation is not cost‑effective.

• Maintaining a favorable and collaborative working relationship with co‑workers in all departments to foster an environment of trust and mutual respect. Driving standards and best practices whenever possible and effectively fostering a culture of engagement.
