Sr. Soft Goods Sourcing & Operations Manager

Role Overview

Latitude Outdoors is seeking a Senior Soft Goods Sourcing & Operations Manager to lead sourcing, materials development, and quality assurance for our growing line of technical soft goods. This hybrid role bridges design, engineering, and manufacturing—ensuring that our products are built with the right materials, by the right partners, to the right standards. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver with deep experience in global soft‑goods sourcing, vendor management, and quality systems.

• Own sourcing strategy and vendor relationships for soft goods manufacturing
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new materials and suppliers
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure material feasibility and performance
• Manage cost negotiations, lead times, and capacity planning with vendors
• Develop and implement quality standards, inspection protocols, and testing plans
• Manage communication, change control, and approval processes with raw material and production suppliers
• Oversee incoming quality control and production audits
• Maintain material library and documentation systems
• Support sustainability and compliance initiatives across the supply chain

• 5+ years of experience in soft goods sourcing, materials, or quality management
• Strong knowledge of textiles, trims, and construction methods
• Experience working with US & overseas factories and managing vendor relationships
• Familiarity with quality systems, testing standards, and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and project‑management skills
• Passion for the outdoors and building high‑performance gear

This role will be based at our headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI. The expectation is to be onsite in our design studio for a minimum of three days per week. Remote focus work for enhancing personal productivity can be leveraged one to two days per week where appropriate. Experienced candidates can be provided with up to six months of remote work before transitioning to Grand Rapids to allow for an earlier start date.

• Base salary negotiable based on experience
• Performance‑based bonus 15% of base salary
