Position Overview
The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, and integrity of all direct mail products produced at our facility. This role involves inspecting materials, monitoring production processes, and verifying that all deliverables meet company standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements. The QA Technician plays a vital role in maintaining high-quality standards and supporting continuous improvement within the operation.
EssentialFunctions
- Inspect incoming materials, such as envelopes, inserts, and labels, to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Monitor production processes to verify adherence to quality standards and job specifications.
- Conduct pre- and post-production checks, including verifying documentation, counts, and mailing lists.
- Identify and document deviations, discrepancies, or defects; escalate issues promptly to management.
- Perform routine audits of finished products to ensure accuracy in mailing, labeling, and packaging.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, quality checks, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, postal, and industry regulations.
- Support continuous training and development related to quality standards and procedures.
- Quality check pre-production material as needed.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
- Essential:
Prior experience in quality assurance, inspection, or production within a direct mail or manufacturing environment preferred. - Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret job instructions, specifications, and mailing lists.
- Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Excel, Word) and familiarity with quality management systems.
- Great organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing safety; this position will spend considerable time on the production floor.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s or an Associate’s degree in business or any other related study preferred.
Two or more years of experience working in a product support, project coordination, client services, or similar role is desired.
This position is an on-site role with no remote or work-from-home opportunities.
This position may require lifting materials or mail products to 25 lbs.
