** MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
*** Plan, coordinate, and prioritize the tasks of the quality control department to ensure adequate support for production, quality issue investigations, and new product introduction (FAI);
* Participate in the evaluation of the capabilities of the quality control department (in terms of personnel, training, equipment, etc.);
* Propose measures aimed at increasing the department's efficiency;
* Supervise staff and develop the skills of quality control technicians;
* Ensure that procedures and methods are followed by the quality control department members and their collaborators;
* Act as the focal point for requests addressed to the quality control department, whether technical or short-term planning;
* Participate in the medium and long-term planning of the quality control department;
* Follow up on actions related to non-conformities raised during inspections (MRB);
* Collaborate with different departments (engineering, operations, quality assurance) to address or prevent non-conformities;
* Monitor performance indicators, both in terms of execution and the quality of incoming material, in order to achieve objectives;
* Propose continuous improvement actions for the department.
** POSITION REQUIREMENTS
*** Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other related field and/or any other relevant professional experience related to the position;
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in staff supervision and in a similar role;
* Minimum of 5 years in quality control;
* Proficiency in quality control methodologies;
* Mastery of dimensioning and tolerancing standards (Y14.5 or equivalent);
* Attention to detail, organization, and commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards;
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills with various departments and all levels of staff to present and explain quality issues and potential corrective solutions;
* Excellent interpersonal skills;
* Autonomy, resourcefulness, ability to influence, and adaptability;
* Ability to work under pressure;
* Functional English (spoken and written).
** ASSETS
* ** Experience in the medical field or in a highly regulated environment;
* Extensive experience in metrology;
* Experience with an ERP system;
* Knowledge of Jira;
* Knowledge of electronic material inspection standards (IPC-A-610);
* Knowledge of ISO 13485 and/or ISO 9001 standards.
