Ensure quality, consistency, and impact across JTL apprenticeships

This role isn’t just about checking boxes or “internal verification”; it’s about driving improvement. You’ll provide guidance, feedback, and coaching to colleagues, share best practice across the business, and help ensure apprentices develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours they need to succeed in both their assessments and their long-term careers.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Provide constructive feedback and coaching to staff to support continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and assessment.
  • Sample and review evidence to meet the requirements of awarding organisations, EPAOs, and JTL’s own quality standards.
  • Produce clear, accurate reports and action plans, tracking progress and following up to ensure agreed improvements are made.
  • Lead external quality assurance visits, supporting preparation for Ofsted, awarding organisation audits, and other inspections, and providing evidence and guidance as required.
  • Work collaboratively with managers and colleagues to identify trends, share good practice, and address areas for development.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of IQA activity, sampling, and staff development.
  • Embed safeguarding, Prevent, equality and diversity, British values, and health and safety considerations into all aspects of your work.
  • Keep your own technical and professional knowledge current through CPD, industry engagement, and training.

  • Assessor qualification (D32, D33, A1, or TAQA).
