Position OverviewWe are looking for an experienced, initiative-taking QC Inspector to join our growing Industrial Construction team. You will: coordinate with engineering, construction, fabrication, and other departments to align goals; travel to remote jobs throughout the intermountain region as needed; and continuously improve quality processes. The role requires commitment to Loenbro’s core values and safety policies.
Job Duties- Develop Weld Map Isometric drawings.
- Enter welding and inspection information into tracking tools.
- Assist with pressure testing plans and functions.
- Review and file NDE/NDT reports.
- Collaborate with NDE personnel for planning and execution of work.
- Assemble and review project documentation packages.
- Perform and document inspections based on drawings, specifications, and procedures to determine compliance.
- Conduct weld inspections.
- Review welding requirements and ensure welding procedures comply.
- Create and implement Project Quality Assurance Plans.
- Provide support and training to other inspectors.
- Write inspection and assessment plans (I&TP).
- Adhere to Loenbro’s core values and safety policies.
- Current AWS CWI or ASNT VT II certification, or ability to pass the VT II exam.
- Knowledge of NDT methods (UT, MT, PT, RT) with ASNT-SNT-TC-1A documented training/hands‑on hours.
- Well‑rounded understanding of ASTM standards and materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Effective communication skills with co‑workers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Extensive knowledge of reading and understanding drawings.
- Quick learner and highly motivated.
- Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
- Initiative‑taking with a drive to learn and grow.

- Capability to work in a challenging environment.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work on scaffolds and in trenches, and access work areas.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Walk on uneven terrain for extended periods.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Use respirators when project requirements dictate.
- Drive to and from job sites if required, holding a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability; all drivers undergo a DMV background check.
