Food & Beverage Lead Auditor (remote within Germany)
Join DNV as a Food & Beverage Lead Auditor headquartered in Essen, working remotely within Germany.
OverviewAs part of the Business Assurance division, you will conduct third‑party certification audits for Food & Beverage customers in accordance with IFS, FSSC and/or BRCGS standards. Your role will include coordinating audit schedules, reviewing corrective actions, maintaining audit credentials, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Perform third‑party certification audits for Food & Beverage customers in accordance with IFS, FSSC, or BRCGS standards
- Maintain schedule of audit activities in coordination with customers
- Review customer corrective actions and ensure timely and accurate closure
- Maintain appropriate audit credentials and pursue advancement of related certifications as required
- Provide communication on changes and clarifications related to DNV’s Food & Beverage standards to relevant stakeholders
- Work closely with Resource Management to support auditor qualification and development
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager on operational activities and initiatives
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management
- Degree in a food‑related or bioscience discipline, or a higher education course in a food‑related or bioscience field (or equivalent)
- Ideally 5 years of work experience in the food industry, specifically related to food production and technology
- Adequate work experience in quality management and food safety within the food sector
- Preferably a qualification as Lead Auditor for IFS Food and/or BRCGS Food and/or FSSC 22000 Food
- Experience in auditing GFSI‑recognized schemes is an advantage
- Profound qualification for the standards, preferably with relevant industry authorization
- Very good communication skills
- High social competence and strong ability to work in a team
- Valid European driving licence
- Willingness to travel
- Fluent in both German and English
