Salary Range (Base + Commission): $45,000 – $80,000 per year

Average Ticket Price: $120 per grooming session plus tips with a higher commission rate compared to brick-and-mortar salons. Maximize earnings by offering add-on services.

Job Summary:

Furry Land of Corpus Christi seeks a skilled Lead Groomer to join our team. We offer a mobile spa experience for dogs and cats, ensuring a stress-free and convenient grooming process for pets and owners.

• Onboard all new associates and groomers, ensuring training requirements, annual safety certifications, and state-required certifications, and representing the brand positively.
• Operate our state-of-the-art 2025 Mercedes Sprinter van to scheduled appointments in the Coastal Bend area, equipped for comfortable work year-round.
• Provide professional grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling according to customer preferences and breed standards.
• Develop local business growth and advertising strategies with team members and oversee execution.
• Maintain and service mobile grooming vans and oversee upkeep or repairs as needed.
• Schedule and manage appointments, ensure timely arrivals, and maximize productivity; cover shifts as necessary for customer satisfaction.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor.

• Proven professional pet grooming experience with knowledge of techniques, breed-specific cuts, and coat types.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to drive a grooming van safely.
• Availability for Saturday & Sunday with additional 2–3 days of grooming; partial remote work.
• Passion for working with animals and ability to handle pets of all sizes, temperaments, and breeds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with pet owners and provide outstanding service.
• Strong attention to detail; ability to deliver high-quality grooming services consistently.
• Ability to work independently and manage time to meet appointments; ability to lift all breed sizes.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional extended hours.
• Certification from a reputable grooming school or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Experience supervising teammates or aptitude for training, motivation, sales techniques, and analytics is preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in grooming all breeds.
• Experience monitoring and directing grooming teammates is preferred.
• Previous supervisory or retail experience is preferred.
