Landscape Technician Charge Hand

East London

£30,388 – £31,987 per year

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:30pm

We are looking for a Landscape Technician Charge Hand to join our team based in East London and surrounding areas. You will work within a team of two, visiting a variety of properties, providing ground maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, hedge cutting, shrub pruning and weed control in communal areas. A van will be provided for business use and it will be your responsibility to ensure it is kept in good condition.

• Providing supervisory support in keeping estates well maintained and clean
• Using equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and the manufacturer’s guidance
• Carrying out all hazardous tasks such as spraying, in accordance with supplier guidelines ensuring relevant records are maintained to comply with health and safety and legal requirements
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations

• Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
• A pesticide application certificate PA1 – PA6 or equivalent
• Recent experience of working within a similar role where operating gardening machinery is essential
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

• Role salary is £29,549 with an additional policy allowance of £839 per annum (rising to £31,104 with an additional policy allowance of £883 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
