Grounds Maintenance Team Leader £26,863 - £28,276 per year 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 4:00pmWe have opportunities for a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join our Grounds Maintenance team based in West Bromwich. The Grounds Maintenance team of two is responsible for completing ground maintenance tasks across various sites in the West Bromwich area to a set rota. Daily tasks will include completion of risk assessments, van checks, upkeep of equipment in line with safe working practice, litter picking, shrub pruning, grass and hedge cutting, weed spraying, removal of fly tipping and bin store clearances.
Therole of Grounds Maintenance Charge Hand will include:
- Providing supervisory support in keeping estates well maintained and clean
- Using equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and the manufacturer’s guidance
- Carrying out all tasks such as spraying, in accordance with supplier guidelines ensuring relevant records are maintained to comply with health and safety and legal requirements
- Ensuring van, tools and equipment are kept in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks
- Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills
- Recent experience of working within a similar role where operating gardening machinery is essential
- NVQ3 or equivalent in Horticulture or similar discipline
- This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
