Licensed Veterinarian (Remote - Independent Contractor)

Responsibilities- Provide virtual video consultations using Pawp’s advanced tools, thoroughly evaluating each patient’s medical data and concerns with care and expertise. Establish a veterinarian‑client‑patient relationship (VCPR).
- Develop individualized care plans, prescribe medications when appropriate, and empower pet parents with clear, compassionate guidance. Refer for in‑person care when necessary.
- Share educational insights and resources to help pet parents make informed decisions and become better advocates for their pets’ health.
- Obtain informed consent, maintain detailed and compliant medical records, and strictly adhere to all laws, regulations, and best practices in telemedicine.
- Work alongside a talented, mission‑driven team, with ongoing support and oversight from Pawp’s medical leadership.
- Arrange availability of 2–10 hours per week from your desktop computer, with hours varying depending on state licensure.
- Active Veterinary License in good standing in at least one of the following states: AZ, CA, FL, , MO, NJ, NY, OH, PA, VT, VA, WA. Multi‑state licensure is a plus.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree and preferred at least 3 years of post‑graduate clinical experience.
- Valid liability insurance for all services provided.
- Excellent communication skills—able to explain medical terms in simple, empathetic language, both verbally and in writing.
- Commitment to quality—detail‑oriented, ethical, and always putting patient welfare first.
This is an independent contractor opportunity under a vendor services agreement, not an employment relationship.
