Exciting Opportunity for a GP – Fostering & Adoption Medical Assessor (Remote, Flexible, Self-Employed) We are seeking a GMC-registered GP to carry out remote medical assessments for prospective foster carers and adopters.
Responsibilities- Review the completed applicant section of the medical form
- Assess the full GP medical records provided
- Consider routine observations completed by a nurse
- Conduct a brief telephone or video consultation with the applicant
- Complete and return the medical assessment form with professional opinion and recommendations
- Receive a competitive fee per completed form, with payment made within 30 days of invoice
- Access to a secure, encrypted computer
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
- Telephone and/or video consultation capability
- Ability to manage confidential information in line with GDPR and safeguarding standards
