The Family Practitioner provides general medical care & treatment to patients in accordance with RI State & federal rules & regulations & the center’s standards of care; performs physical examinations & preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines to effectively provide services and achieve outcomes outlined.
Evaluate the health of participants using advanced physical, developmental and psychosocial assessment skills. Distinguishes normal and abnormal findings in order to recognize health problems.
Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess residents’ clinical problems. Provide medications for chronic illnesses and adjust meds as needed.
Master’s Degree required (family nurse practitioner); current RI licensure as a nurse practitioner; preferred minimum of 1 year experience as a nurse practitioner, prescriptive privileges, Spanish speaking a plus.
