Why not start a rewarding new career in social care? No experience necessary: we'll train you.
At Mac Intyre, we support people to live gloriously ordinary lives that make sense to them. We’re now looking for Support Workers to support a brand new supported living home in Wrexham, opening its doors to four Gentlemen moving into their own home for the first time.
This newly awarded home offers a rare opportunity to shape something from the very beginning, building the right culture, practice and relationships from day one.
We have full‑time and part‑time vacancies to cover a 24 hour, 7 days a week rota, with at least one sleep‑in per week.
So what would you be doing day to day? Here's what the people you will be supporting had to say.- Talk to me / treat me like an adult
- Support me to do things, not do them for me – even if it takes a long time
- To listen to me and not ‘tell’ me. I do not like it if it sounds like you are being bossy with me.
- Always ensure you include me, I am able to make decisions about my life and do not like it if I think you are talking about me.
- I need someone who is kind and patient with me.
- Visit my family
- Go out and about in the car either to a café or to the shops or both!
- Make the most of my garden and enjoy the outdoors when the weather is nice.
- Stay safe inside and outside of my home.
- Do crafts and play on my Wii – I love it when I get the chance to beat you at my golf game.
- Take me swimming or climbing
The people we support are looking for connections and purpose. Are you the right person to bring that to the role?
Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsor ships as we await further guidance from the Home Office. Applications requiring sponsorship cannot be considered at this time. We appreciate your understanding.
