Third (Nights) – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Virginia or Compact Multi‑State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire

• RN‑Associate’s Degree, or
• RN‑Bachelor’s Degree, or
• RN‑Diploma, or
• RN‑Master’s Degree

The Medicine Unit – 4 James is looking for qualified nurses to provide care to acute and chronic patients with a variety of comorbidities, including a special focus on our senior population. We welcome new grads to seasoned nurses who are compassionate, dependable, flexible, and hardworking. This 6‑month Nurse Residency program is designed specifically for new graduate RNs with less than one year of experience and offers specialties in Medical Surgical nursing, Intermediate Care, Critical Care, Emergency Care, Operating Room, and Women’s Health across all 12 Sentara hospitals.

Sentara Care Plex Hospital, located in Hampton, VA, is a 224‑bed technologically advanced acute care facility and Certified Primary Stroke Center. Special services include heart and vascular, urologic care, advanced diagnostics, surgery, a hospitalist program, and one of the state's busiest emergency departments. The hospital also hosts the Orthopedic Hospital, the area's first dedicated orthopedic facility.
