Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Physician

Overview

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Student Health and Counseling Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician to provide comprehensive health services to UAF students. The Center delivers medical care, counseling, and health education to support the well-being of the student body. In this role, Nurse Practitioners and Physicians provide ambulatory healthcare and health education as part of the Center's medical team.

This is a part-time, benefits-eligible position, available during the academic year (nine months, from mid-August through mid-May), with part-time work required during half of the summer term. Success in this position requires a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration, a strong interest in addressing both physical and mental health concerns, and a student-centered approach to supporting individuals in managing their healthcare needs.

• Provide ambulatory healthcare and health education as part of the Center's medical team.
• Collaborate across disciplines to support physical and mental health concerns and student well-being.

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner:
  Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program at the master's level or higher, Alaska license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner, Alaska prescriptive authority (including a DEA number or eligibility).
• Physician:
  Degree from an accredited medical school, Alaska license to practice as a Physician, Alaska prescriptive authority (including a DEA number or eligibility).

This is a part-time, 22 pay period (10-Month), exempt staff position complete with a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 82, based on education and experience.
