ENS Recruitment are a long established recruitment organisation in the health and social care sector. We are based in westcliff on sea, Essex. We are recruiting for an On Call Bookings Consultant to work out of hours (5pm onwards weekdays, and other shifts including weekends (days/eves) and bank holidays.
As an On Call Bookings Consultant your approximate working hours are 7-14 per week, plus extra when required so flexibility is important.
This is a remote working role so you will work at home but occasional visits to our office in Westcliff will be required. Hourly rate £12.92 per hour to £13.92 per hour at weekends + night transfer and enhancements on bank holidays. It will be preffered if your reside local to Southend and/or surrounding areas.
Experience in a similar role is preferred, or experience in health and social care or recruitment sector. Excellent customer service skills are paramount.
Purpose:
To provide an out of hours service as an extension of the Care and Support and Health and Social Care divisions. Responsible for maintaining a high quality of service to clients, workers and beyond, in line with company policy and process.
Key Responsibilities:
* To receive hand over from each division including on call colleagues daily.
* To prioritise filling emergency shifts as and when necessary.
* To work towards filling outstanding shifts left on the system or handed over from previous shift.
* To deal with any incoming business opportunities or refer to appropriate Manager.
* Keeping up to date with emergency on-call clients’ needs and inform and update them with current progress.
* To cover on-call throughout the night as and when required.
* To ensure comprehensive handovers are completed.
* To ensure that care staff meet legislative requirements before booking.
* To ensure that care staff have the adequate training/clinical or specialist training to meeting individual clients needs
* Dealing with any complaints in the initial stages and taking any appropriate, immediate actions and refer to the appropriate manager.
* Logging accidents/incidents relating to care staff and clients, ensuring all parties are kept updated and refer to the appropriate manager.
* Maintaining good relationships with clients, care staff and colleagues.
* To ensure access to all information required to meet the needs of clients and to support staff. To report any gaps in knowledge or information that may impede on the consistency of care or support provided to clients and care staff.
* To complete weekly availability sheets for HSC and NHS staff as required.
* To complete and update ENS client home profiles when required.
General:
* Demonstrate proficiency in Word, Excel, and other office applications.
* Actively participate in role profile reviews to meet evolving business needs and undertake additional duties as required.
* Uphold high standards of integrity, ethics, and attention to detail.
* Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and customer service experience.
* Exhibit strong organisational skills and prioritise tasks effectively.
