Position: Registered Nurse - NICU (Weekend/Days)

Position Overview

Full time; 36 hours per week (Weekend Days).

Day Shift: 7am – 7pm.

Department Overview

The Family Maternity Center includes a 57-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) dedicated to caring for babies who are born early or require advanced support. The NICU promotes parent bonding and includes a multidisciplinary team:

  • Board-certified neonatologists
  • Neonatal nurse practitioners
  • NICU nurses
  • Human milk technicians (LPNs)
  • NICU-trained respiratory therapists
  • Occupational therapists
  • Dieticians
  • Social workers/Case Management
  • Lactation specialists
Minimum Requirements
  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State RN License in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • NRP certification within 6 months of hire
  • 12 months of experience as an RN preferred
Education
  • RN-Associate’s Degree, or
  • RN-Bachelor’s Degree, or
  • RN-Master’s Degree
