Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a flexi/prn Registered Nurse for the Medical Telemetry Unit to work on an as‑needed basis.

Elizabeth City, NC – First (Days) / Flexi/PRN Night Shift

The Medical Telemetry Unit is a combined 2‑unit facility comprising 24 beds: 17 telemetry and 7 stroke/neuro beds. Patients include adults with stroke rule‑out, TIA, CVA, syncope, COPD, CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and other acute problems requiring telemetry monitoring.

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science (MSN) – preferred
• Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program (accepted)

• Registered Nursing License (required)
• Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License
• BLS required within 90 days of hire
• ACLS preferred
• Telemetry knowledge preferred – will be taught if unknown
• NIHSS required (or will be taught)

• No prior experience required
• 1 year of acute care experience preferred
• Previous healthcare experience preferred
• Telemetry knowledge preferred
