What you will do
* Provide a positive image to customers by creating a friendly atmosphere and placing a high priority on meeting customer needs in a courteous manner.
* Continuously monitoring cardiac strips, edits, and process cardiac monitor strips per department standard.
* Communicate pertinent data and information relative to the patient, situation, or setting in a timely manner. All rhythm changes and lethal arrhythmias are reported immediately to with urgency.
* Have an understanding of the equipment used for cardiac monitoring and report problems to management staff and Bio Med staff.
* Understand and practice patient confidentiality.
* Input and interact with computer software as necessary.
* Understand and follow SVHC and department policies and procedures.
* Mentors monitor techs to their role for the purpose of ensuring successful enculturation, orientation, competence, and emotional support. Supports students to enhance their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
* Promotes a mutually respectful environment that encourages the exchange of ideas and supports the effectiveness of professional relationships and integrates ethics in all aspects of practice.
* Practices Diversity, Equity and Inclusion principles in their daily work by respecting others’ uniqueness, perspectives, backgrounds or beliefs
