Travel RN - Intermediate Care Stepdown​/Med-Surg

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring an RN Traveler for the Stepdown/Med-Surg Admissions/Discharge Unit. This is a Temporary Full Time Night Shift Position. $70 per hour for a Traveler Assignment.

This is a 16-bed Unit. Nurse-to-Patient Ratio is 1:4 to 1:5 based on acuity and staffing. Patient Population: IMC/Med Surg including DKA, Alcohol Withdrawal, COPD exacerbation, Sickle Cell crisis, CHF exacerbation, Renal Failure, Dehydration, I&D.

• Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• ACLS

Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience.

The Registered Nurse will work in a collaborative role as part of a team to maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice, in order to meet the health care needs of patients, their families, and the community. Primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, communicating with families, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients.
