The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process. The standards of practice include assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care (teaching and health promotion) and evaluation, along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice / nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health).
The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Responsibilities include providing care that aligns with the nursing process and standards of practice. The RN will work as a hospital float with 2 or more years of recent bedside ICU, ED or Step-down experience, as defined by the specialty requirements.
Education- RN Degree - ADN, BSN or MSN
- Valid RN License to practice in Virginia
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Must have at least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in floor nursing – ICU, ED or Step-down/IMCU
