Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor for the Emergency Department.

Work Shift:
Second (Evenings) — Full-time
- Supervises patient care services staff to ensure patient safety, provide high quality outcomes, and deliver an exceptional patient/family experience.
- Assists the manager in the daily operations of one or more clinical areas; participates in developing and monitoring the departmental budget.
- Coordinates purchasing and payroll processes; serves as a technical/clinical resource to team members.
- Performs work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage and to mentor/assist staff.
- Assists the manager with interviewing, hiring, developing, and retaining staff to build a highly reliable work team.
- May coordinate and/or assist with staff education, orientation, and precepting of team members.
- Utilizes effective communication/interpersonal skills and adapts leadership style to support department goals and objectives.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Registered Nursing License (Required)
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
- Minimum of 2 years nursing experience
- Leadership required
