Help us build a premium home care brand as our Founding Director of Nursing: $60–$75/hr effective rate with a guaranteed monthly retainer and total schedule flexibility.
Are you an RN who is passionate about geriatric care and loves to share that knowledge with the community? We are a boutique startup private duty home care agency in Bergen County looking for a dynamic Founding Director of Nursing.
Because we are in the startup phase, we arent looking for a typical administrator; we are looking for a clinical partner who wants to be the face of our care model and help us build our reputation from the ground up.

This is a retainer-plus-task-based role
, ideal for an RN who seeks a leadership position with high impact and a flexible schedule. We value professional reliability
, accountability, and proactive communication as we "figure it out" and grow together. You report directly to the founder.
- Community Ambassador: Represent the agency at community events, conducting "Lunch and Learns" and educational presentations on geriatric care and wellness.
- Clinical Case Management: Lead initial home assessments and develop personalized care plans for new clients.
- Regulatory Oversight: Ensure the agency meets all NJ requirements for non-medical home care, including conducting required 30, 60, and 90-day supervisory visits and case monitoring.
- Caregiver Mentorship: Assist with facilitating new-hire orientation, conduct competency testing for Aides (CHHAs), and provide necessary training as needed.
- Policy Development: Assist in establishing the clinical "blueprint" for our agency as we scale.
- The "Orator": You genuinely enjoy public speaking and presenting. You are comfortable educating families and community partners about the nuances of geriatric care.
- Home Care
Experience:
Preference is given to those with prior experience in the New Jersey home care space, particularly with CHHA supervision and state regulations. - Passionate Advocate: You have a deep-seated passion for all aspects of geriatric care and aging-in-place.
- Professional Accountability: You are a self-starter who takes pride in being highly responsive and reliable.
- Local Access: Must have an active NJ RN license and the ability to travel within Bergen County.
